Imitating the Sun
Esther and Matt's bedroom window is always in the shade, so to imitate the sun streaming through the venetian blinds, I set up my flash outside on a lightstand and connected it to a remote trigger. After a few test shots, I settled on a bare flash at 1/4 power and 105mm zoom. You can see the streams of light shooting into the ceiling, but unfortunately it didn't stripe Matt and Esther as well. I think a big part of that was due to the orientation of the blinds. Next time I'll remember to experiment with the angle of the blinds as well.
Exposure info: 52.5mm focal length, 1/40 sec, f/2.5, ISO 200.
Post-processing info: increased fill light using Lightroom.
