Sneaking Some Humanity Into My Shots

Amy dreads hearing this: "Hang on, let me take a quick shot of you..." What can I say? I love taking photos of people. I take a lot of land/cityscape photos, but I don't find it as rewarding. When I look back at old photos, the ones with people in them elicit much more emotion and trigger more memories. I like to point out things like: I told a joke to make so-and-so laugh, or he was in a really bad mood, or...you get the point. I'm not dogging landscape photography in any way, Ansel Adams is a rock star! It's just that I love interacting with my subjects and I thoroughly enjoy looking at photos of friends and family from years ago. So what do I do when Amy refuses to pose for me? Well, the next best thing: I sneak photos of her from behind when I'm taking scenic shots. Nefarious? Hardly, she can hear what I'm doing. Typically I even direct how she should stand. :-)
